Research evidence

src/extension.ts creates a consent-gated pi-typesafe client and inspects tool_call events. guard.ts calls ask with irreversible and scope questions, combines returned scores with local patterns, and raises a hold or warning. rules.ts asks a Choice per applicable project rule and converts violation probabilities into agent-facing feedback.

An independent extension built on pi-typesafe. Its README credits jevrealtimecodecheck and wince for design ideas; those relationships are retained without claiming it is an unmodified fork.

Rule violations normally steer rather than block edits; advise mode does not hold calls, and provider-error behavior depends on failOpen while local patterns remain. Session-study and paired-run claims were not reproduced. No plugin, notification, agent hook or model request was started.
